A lot of people yesterday sent me this info on Gene Therapy. It certainly looks like an interesting and effective avenue down the line. I am not sure that I am eligible for the therapy yet or if it is wise to start with these trials or try them down the line but I am researching them. I have also heard that there is already a gene therapy treatment in China for prostate cancer that has been fairly successful AND that the exact same drug / therapy exists here in the U.S. but is not yet approved. I will be following this very closely and if anyone has any info on it, please let me know here.

Here are some links to articles on T cell therapy:

Here is a more scientific abstract - click on this link and you will download the full pdf:

Thanks again for all of your support!

Jer,
It was bittersweet to read that you started healing the roots. I remember you talking about it over eight years ago. I'm glad you did it, but wish the impetus was different. You're in my thoughts a great deal, and I'm glad you're feeling good. It's so like you to turn a challenge into an adventure!

Have you heard anything about phenoxodiol?

Love you,
Jen

PS, ..off topic and totally mundane. When you have a chance will you remind me of the ingredients in the yummy pasta recipe you make with dandelion greens and currants?

Jeremy,

All the options are so encouraging--as is the news I heard yesterday that more and more people diagnosed with prostate cancer are finding effective treatment. I wish I had more concrete info to pass along, but right now, I'll have to settle with simple words of encouragement.

Jeremy, I am just now beginning to read your saga. I am an "old" friend of your Uncle David. We were going to get together today to play music, but I was so happy to hear he spent the better part of the day with you and the doctor. Though I do not know you, I am so proud of the attitude you possess and your courage and determination. I can only imagine how difficult your struggle has been. Your uncle told me of all the hard work you have done with GreenPeace and the humanitarian efforts you have fulfilled. You are a young man, every parent, relative and friend would be proud to know. You have done so much and accomplished so much in so short a time, it is truly exemplary and a course we could and should all emulate. May your positive energy and efforts be rewarded. May you health make a dramatic change for the better and may you grace us all with your wisdom, courage, and love for many years to come. Hang in there. Keep your chin up. There are a lot of us in your corner, sending our healing prayers and wishes. God Bless. Sending my positive energy and love. Your friend who hopes to meet you sometime soon. Thanks for being such an inspiration. The world needs people like you. Shalom, Rick Weingarten weinga@comcast.net

Thank You Rick. It means a lot to me to hear that from a friend of David's. I had a great time the other day with him. Its sounds like a jam session would be fun as well. I'll have to catch up on my uke and guitar practice but at the very least it would be fun to hear you two jam sometime..

All the Best!
J
